Japan Employees Work From Home

Indian company HCL Technologies is sending a senior level delegation to Japan to support its employees, and the software services firm says it will give its employees in Japan the option to work from home or from alternate locations.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced earlier this week that it was prepared to relocate its Indian staff in Japan, while Infosys Technologies said that some of its expatriate staff there had returned to India. HCL said that they have contingency plans for quick evacuation of all employees and their families if the situation arises. Over 1000 HCL engineers work on Japanese projects, according to the company website. The company is also working with the Japanese Consulate and related agencies such as the Japanese Culture Center to decide on options to support the relief measures.
